Welcome

I am an Associate Professor of Political Science at University of South Carolina Aiken. I also direct the USCA Social Sciences and Business Research Lab, conducting contracted research for clients in the Aiken-Augusta area as well as general academic research about the political and social environment in Aiken County.

I received my PhD from George Mason University in 2013 and have been at USCA since 2015. My areas of research interest include primary elections, public opinion research and survey methodology as well as the more general effect of electoral institutions on political behavior. I have published research in venues such as Public Opinion Quarterly, Electoral Studies, and State Politics & Policy Quarterly as well as neuroscience research in Frontiers in Human Neuroscience and Brain Connectivity.

At USCA, I teach courses in statistics, American politics and pre-law.

Starting in the fall semester of 2024, I will be joining the Government, Law, and National Security program at Misericordia University as Associate Professor.
